Mental health medication management is a collaborative and ongoing treatment service designed to help individuals effectively manage symptoms associated with mental health conditions through the safe and appropriate use of psychiatric medications. During medication management appointments, a qualified psychiatric provider conducts comprehensive evaluations, assesses symptoms, reviews medical and psychiatric history, and determines whether medication may be beneficial as part of an individual's treatment plan.

We provide support to all individuals with drug and alcohol addictions, eating disorders and other behavioral issues. Our counselors are compassionate and patient problem-solvers whose goal is to ensure your addiction does not control your life.

Peer Support Services (PSS) are an evidenced-based mental health model of care that provides community-based recovery services directly to a Medicaid-eligible adult beneficiary diagnosed with a mental health or substance use disorder. PSS provides structured, scheduled services that promote recovery, self-determination, self-advocacy, engagement in self-care and wellness and enhancement of community living skills.

At Britton Counseling Services, we proudly provide professional clinical supervision for both Associate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHCA) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associates (LCASA) in North Carolina. Supervision is designed to support developing clinicians in strengthening their clinical skills, ethical decision-making, diagnostic competency, documentation practices, treatment planning, and professional identity while meeting state licensure requirements.

Our supervision approach combines education, accountability, mentorship, and real-world clinical application to help associates grow into confident, competent, and ethical professionals. Supervisees receive guidance in areas such as counseling techniques, substance use treatment, crisis intervention, case conceptualization, cultural competence, and navigating complex clinical situations.
